LinkedIn is a fantastic tool for networking and it allows you to communicate with other professionals in your industry that can give you tips, and they may even potentially be hiring for a job that would suit you. Do not forget to use your old networks too as they may be able to help you find your next role. 

3) Take free online courses

Take advantage of this time to learn new skills and enhance your career. There are many free online courses that are available. Due to the current climate Coursera are offering a range of free courses that are worth checking out. Extra certifications will also help you with your job search when you are applying for new roles to make you stand out.

4) Be prepared for video interviews

Being prepared for video interviews is vital. Many clients and recruiters are using video interviews to hire. The best way to ace a video interview is to practice! Make sure you prepare your surroundings, dress for success, avoid any potential interruptions, look at the camera and most importantly test your tech!

5) Take care of yourself

During your job search, make sure that you remember to take care of yourself. Take some time out and enjoy yourself. Remember that you do not have to be in front of a computer screen all day to have a productive job search. It is important to do activities that you enjoy which will help you keep motivated and determined.

6) Do not give up

Do not give up on your job search during the coronavirus as there are still opportunities out there. Recruiters are still looking for suitable candidates and companies are still hiring.
